Flexible schedules for airport staff
We understand the rotating schedules of airport personnel. At Ryutai we offer BJJ classes Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, allowing you to train regardless of your shift. Many of our students are pilots, cabin crew, handling staff and terminal workers. Their schedules change constantly, but they always find a class that fits. No commitment, so if you travel more one month, you don't pay extra. From the airport you arrive in 15 minutes via the C-31. Free parking in the area. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is ideal for maintaining complete fitness when you can't follow a fixed routine: you work functional strength, flexibility and cardio in every session.
Team Calderón instructors specialized in BJJ
Ryutai is part of the prestigious Team Calderón, with instructors who have competed at national and international level in BJJ and grappling. Our team includes certified black belts and members of the Catalan national team. At Ryutai II you have 150 square meters of certified tatami, the same type used in official BJJ competitions. Grappling dummies for practicing chokes and controls, gis of different sizes available to try. The facilities are designed exclusively for grappling martial arts. For airport personnel accustomed to high standards of professionalism, you'll find at Ryutai the same level of excellence applied to jiu-jitsu training.
International and diverse community
The international atmosphere of the airport is reflected in our community. We have students from different nationalities and backgrounds, creating an open and welcoming environment. More than 200 active students of all levels, from beginners to competitors. Approximately 30 percent come from outside Viladecans. Several airport workers already train here and have formed groups to coordinate schedules and carpool. BJJ offers complete technical training: you learn to control larger opponents using technique and leverage, not brute force. Ideal for real self-defense and staying fit with variable schedules in the aviation industry.

Historias reales de personas que entrenan en Ryutai
I'm a pilot and my schedule changes every week. What I value most about Ryutai is the flexibility: there are classes at 5:00, 7:00, 8:00 PM and Saturday mornings. I always find when to train BJJ. Jiu-jitsu is perfect for staying fit when you can't follow a fixed routine. The Team Calderón instructors are very professional and in 15 minutes I'm here from the airport via C-31. The 150m² tatami allows comfortable rolling.
I work as cabin crew and started BJJ looking for effective self-defense and training I could do with my rotating schedules. At Ryutai I found exactly that. The instructors teach you real jiu-jitsu technique adapted to your level: submissions, escapes, positional control. I come 3 times a week when my roster allows. Several airline colleagues also train here. The atmosphere is great.
I work in handling and my shifts rotate constantly. I tried several gyms but got frustrated paying full fees the months I traveled a lot. At Ryutai I can adapt my training to my real work. I've learned real BJJ with the Team Calderón instructors: guard, passes, submissions. The Ryutai II tatami is professional, 150m² certified. Several of us from the airport come together.
