About Miguel Ángel "El Silencio" Pérez Álvarez
Miguel Ángel Pérez Álvarez, known in the circuit as "El Silencio" (The Silence), was born on February 23, 2007, in Barcelona and represents one of the most impressive trajectories in Spanish youth kickboxing. Since he began training at Ryutai Viladecans under Team Calderón's guidance in 2019, he has demonstrated extraordinary competitive consistency.
His nickname "El Silencio" perfectly reflects his style: a competitor who lets his results speak for him. And speak they do: 16 consecutive gold medals in the Last Round league, a streak that demonstrates absolute dominance in the regional and national circuit.
At the national level, Miguel Ángel has conquered the title of Double Spanish FEKM Champion, claiming gold in both Kick Light and Light Contact. At the Spanish Open, the most important international tournament held in Spain, he has accumulated 4 gold medals, establishing himself as one of the most feared competitors in his category.
But his achievements are not limited to national territory. On the international circuit, "El Silencio" has left his mark by conquering the championship at the prestigious Yokoso Dutch Open in Holland, one of the most competitive tournaments in Europe, and the Athens Challenge in Greece, proving that his level transcends borders.
In 2024, Miguel Ángel took an important step in his evolution as a fighter by debuting in K1 with a spectacular TKO victory, showing that his technical repertoire adapts perfectly to full contact. This victory marked the beginning of a new stage in his competitive career.
Currently, "El Silencio" is in the recovery process after a meniscus injury that has temporarily paused his competitive activity. However, his impeccable track record and winning mentality predict a triumphant return to the rings.
Trained by Fran Calderón and Sheila Martínez, Miguel Ángel embodies Team Calderón's values: discipline, refined technique, and tireless work ethic. His trajectory is an inspiring example for the new generations of competitors at Ryutai Viladecans.
