Why come from Gavà to train MMA in Viladecans
Más de 200 alumnos eligen Ryutai Viladecans cada semana. Aquí está el por qué.
Team Calderón instructors with real competition experience
Our Team Calderón instructors have real experience in national and international MMA competitions. Some are part of the Catalan Kick Boxing and Muay Thai national team. You'll learn professional technique from day one: effective striking, transitions, ground fighting, combat strategy. Training with coaches is not the same as training with fighters who have competed in professional cages.
Specialized facilities at Ryutai II: 150m² dedicated to MMA
At Ryutai II we have 150 square meters of certified tatami, octagonal cage for specific MMA training, bags of different weights and heights, speed bag, focus mitts, Thai pads. All the necessary equipment to train striking, clinch, takedowns and ground work. The facilities are specifically designed for mixed martial arts, not improvised classes in general gyms. Located at C del Sol 64, Viladecans, 12 minutes from Gavà via C-245 towards C-31. Free parking available. For Gavà athletes accustomed to functional training and the active coastal lifestyle, these facilities allow you to take your physical preparation to the next level.
Diverse community: over 200 students from across the region
You'll train with over 200 students of all levels and backgrounds: Viladecans, Gavà, Sant Boi, Castelldefels, El Prat. Approximately 30 percent of our students come from outside Viladecans, many from the coastal area like Gavà. This creates a rich training environment where you always find sparring partners at your level with varied goals: functional fitness, amateur competition, self-defense, complementary physical preparation for beach sports. Several Gavà students carpool to training, turning the commute into part of the social experience. On the tatami we form a family united by passion for mixed martial arts.

Historias reales de personas que entrenan en Ryutai
I've been coming from Gavà three times a week for 2 years. At first I doubted whether the commute would be worth it, but the first class convinced me: instructors who have truly competed, professional facilities, and a very diverse training group. I've brutally improved my striking technique and ground game. Since I work in Gavà and live near the beach, I combine surfing on weekends with MMA during the week. It's 12 minutes by car that is totally compensated by the quality of training. I carpool with two other Gavà colleagues, so the journey is part of the routine.
I started MMA at Ryutai 8 months ago looking for complete functional training. I had tried gyms closer to Gavà, but the level difference is abysmal. Here you learn real striking technique, takedowns and self-defense. I've lost 9 kilos, gained functional strength and confidence. The instructors adapt training to your level without losing demands. I come Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Worth every minute of the trip.
Amateur MMA competitor. I've trained at Ryutai for 3 years because it's the only place in the area with Team Calderón instructors who really know how to prepare for competition. I've participated in 4 amateur fights with a 3-1 record, and each victory has been thanks to the technical and tactical preparation I receive here. The Ryutai II facilities with octagonal cage allow training real combat situations. I come from Gavà 5 days a week, and several training partners also come from the coast. If you're looking for recreational MMA, any place is fine, but if you want to compete or simply train seriously, Ryutai is the obvious choice in Baix Llobregat.
